Bookings & Pricing
How far in advance should we book a wedding planner or florist in Cape Town?
As soon as you’ve secured your wedding date and venue. For floral design and décor styling, we recommend booking 6–12 months ahead so we can guarantee availability and plan properly.
How much does a wedding planner or florist cost in Cape Town?
Full wedding planning starts from R70 000, which covers a comprehensive package from concept and supplier management through to full execution on the day.
On-the-day coordination starts from around R16 000. You handle the planning, and we take over a few weeks before the wedding and run the day professionally.
Floral design and décor styling is quoted separately from wedding planning and starts from a R9 000 styling fee. The final cost depends on your brief, guest count, and the scale of the work.

Can you work within our budget?
Absolutely. We’re honest and transparent about what’s achievable and will guide you towards the best options for your budget.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit secures your date, and the balance is due before the wedding or final handover of services.
Do you travel for weddings?
We travel throughout the Western Cape and we specialise in Winelands weddings in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, etc. Travel fees apply.
Wedding Planning
What’s the difference between On-the-Day Coordination and Full Wedding Planning?
Full planning: we walk with you from the very beginning, covering concept, suppliers, admin, timelines, budget management, and full execution.
On-the-day coordination: you do the planning, and we take over 2–4 weeks before the wedding and run the day professionally. Learn more about our wedding planning in Cape Town.
Do you offer partial wedding planning?
Yes. If you’ve already done some of the planning or only want help in certain areas, we’ll assess where you need support and quote on that. That could mean help with suppliers, budgeting, timelines, or styling, without paying for planning you’ve already covered.
What happens on the wedding day?
Our team arrives early to set up, liaises with all your suppliers, manages the timeline, and makes sure every detail is executed. We stay until the celebration is fully underway.
Do you manage the wedding budget and track supplier payments?
Yes. We keep a master budget sheet for your wedding that lists every supplier with the estimated cost next to the actual cost. This lets us see at a glance how you’re tracking and where we can balance things out, so there are no surprises as the wedding approaches. We also keep track of supplier payment dates and amounts so nothing is missed. Please note, that you are required to make payments to suppliers directly.
Do you work with our own suppliers, or only your own?
Both. We have trusted suppliers we’re happy to recommend, but we also work with the suppliers you’ve already chosen or love. Either way, we coordinate everyone so that things run smoothly on the day.
Do you offer a consultation before we commit?
Yes. We start with a free consultation over a video, where we chat through your date, venue, vision, and budget. It’s a no-pressure chance to see whether we’re the right fit, and to understand where you’d like support. Book a consultation.
Floral and Decor Styling
What’s included in your wedding floral design service?
A consultation, floral concept and mood board, mock-up options, ceremony and reception floral styling, and on-site setup on the day. Additional décor hire and floral assistants may carry extra costs. See our floral design & décor styling services.
Do you provide mock-ups before the wedding and do we need one?
Yes, on request.
A mock-up is a trial arrangement or table setting so you can see and feel the design before the wedding. It’s not compulsory, but many couples love the confidence it gives them. Floral and hire costs for the mock-up apply.
What affects the cost of wedding flowers?
The main factors are the size of your guest list, the number of tables and installations, the flowers you choose and whether they’re in season, the venue, and how much décor hire you need. We’ll guide you towards where to spend and where to save, so your budget goes where it counts.
Can we hire you for florals only, without a wedding planner?
Yes. Our floral design and styling service is separate from wedding planning, so you can book it on its own.

Do you still offer wedding stationery through Pretty in Stains?
Yes. You can enquire about stationery directly through us, or through Paper & Stain, and you’ll be looked after either way. Our stationery design service page has more detail on what we offer.
What wedding stationery do you design?
Invitations, save-the-dates, menus, table numbers, place cards, seating plans, welcome signs, order of service, thank-you cards. Every piece can be custom designed to match your wedding’s look and feel.
Can you match stationery to our florals and décor?
Yes, and it’s one of the benefits of booking with us. Because planning, florals, and stationery are designed by the same team, colours, styles, and details can flow through the whole wedding, from the invitation to the table.
How far in advance should we order wedding invitations?
Invitations and save-the-dates: start 6-9 months before your wedding. On-the-day stationery: we begin designing about 6-8 weeks before, then allow 2 weeks for printing once you’ve approved. Please finalise seating plans before sign-off, as changes after printing will need to be reprinted at an additional cost.
Can we book stationery on its own, without wedding planning or florals?
Yes, of course!
